It's Official: Choose Well is the County's Newest Program

Congratulations to all our Choose Well providers. On Tuesday 1 August, 2017, the County made it official:  Choose Well was officially launched.  And, if you missed the news reports about Choose Well, you can catch up here. As new stories are found, we will link to them here.  

On Tuesday 1 August, 2017, the County made it official:  Choose Well was officially launched.  The media launch, held at the County Administration Center, witnessed an impressive array of elected officials and public servants behind the microphone.  With Choose Well being the brainchild of Chairwoman Dianne Jacob and Greg Cox, they were the first two speakers - describing for the audience the purpose of the program, why the county thought funding this program was important, and the personal challenges they had individually experienced when trying to find appropriate assisted living placements for their own family members.  Nick Macchione Director of HHSA, discussed Choose Well as a valued component of the County's Live Well Initiative.  And the and the legendary Deputy District Attorney Paul Greenwood spoke about the program and its benefits to providers and consumers.  Also in attendance were AIS Interim Director Chuck Mathews, and Former AIS Interim Director Mark Sellers.  Speaking on behalf of Choose Well's providers, Tim Frazier Chief Administrative Officer of St. Paul's Senior Services (St. Paul's has three Choose Well facilities) spoke   about the logical development and construction of the Choose Well Scoring Device - a device based on sound methodology and objective information.
